Kaylee is back at camp for awhile; we just dropped her off today. We took the Aerostar, which beats the pants off of driving for 10 hours round trip, thank you. After we dropped her off, Steve and I wandered around, ate at a nice restaurant nearby, looked at a lodge close in there, and enjoyed our Sunday afternoon.
I started Sunday morning with a Mavrx flight. I was at the airport by 9:30, flew until 11:45, then at noon got in the Aerostar and headed to Ohio. We got back like at 6 pm, and then stayed at the airport until pretty late.
Saturday, the 4th of July, I was also up fairly early and out at the airport by 9:30 a.m., and flew a Mavrx flight for almost 5 hours. The clouds rolled in on some of the fields and I was only able to get four of the seven done. That means tomorrow morning I have to go back out and finish those three, getting done before my 2 pm flight in the Champ, followed by my 4 pm flights with Flying Squirrels, followed by a 6-9 pm school board meeting. Long day for a Monday. Then I get to get up early on Tuesday morning to be in Alabama early for MBros, and of course Tuesday is calling for 100% chance of thunderstorms on Tuesday. Pttttth!
Anyway. Saturday evening we went out to eat at Outback with a friend, then came home, lit up the fire pit, sat outside and listened to music in the park, watched fireworks, and played for a little while with our own sparklers. Kaylee wanted to make letters out of it, so we did that, and I was pleased with how they turned out. We sat in lawn chairs in our back yard, watched the city fireworks and a couple of airplanes buzzing around over the top of them, before going to bed and getting ready for today.

The restaurant we went to in Ohio today, and we sat outside under an umbrella around the corner of the building. I had smoked trout fettuccini and Steve had blackened salmon, and it was all quite good.
