I was supposed to fly from 9:30-11:30, eat lunch, fly 1:30-3:30, 3:30-5:30, 6-8. I woke up and did not feel well. Head hurt, stomach hurt, I was extremely tired, foggy feeling. So I sent the morning guy off on his own cross country. The 1:30 guy I flew with under the hood for awhile (him, not me), then sent him off on his second solo, which he handled fine, thankfully. 3:30 guy was in the RG, and he was a little overwhelmed by the stuff in there, so he only flew for a short time before being done. 6 pm guy, the weather was so nice, we changed plans and he went off on his first solo cross country. So I was out there all day, but I didn't fly nearly as much as I was expecting on flying, and that was okay.
Steve and I went to dinner tonight after he got done with his last two "meetings" out at the airport, around 8 p.m., and I was still out there too, so...we have to eat, right? It wasn't nearly as good as the pot roast and vegetables that Steve's mom did in the crock pot and sent over yesterday though. THAT hit the spot, we all loved it, Kaylee too. :)
I had the WEIRDEST dreams last night. I dreamed about the wrinkles in my forehead, which are really getting deep, because of where I burnt and peeled my forehead as a teenager skiing, so badly it blistered and peeled and oozed multiple times. I've had lines there ever since, and now they're getting craggy, and I dreamed about them only in my dream my forehead looked like a Shar Pei puppy's. I also dreamed about Kaylee wearing shorts and having super long dark hair all over her legs. This one came from her telling me she needed more blades for her razor, I think. I dreamed about several other things, all weird and extreme like those. I woke up shaking my head at my brain.
I have a trip tomorrow to Kansas City. Lee's Summit, to be precise. The 340 has had the fuel selectors worked on and I'm going to test a theory by checking my aux tanks tomorrow once the plane is outside the hangar and seeing if I get a fuel geyser or not again. I shouldn't, anymore, and I can feel the indent for which tank I'm in now, so...all should be well. I'll have a couple guys to take out and drop off, and mostly I'm just hoping their rental vehicle is actually there. The weather looks gorgeous, thankfully, and there is one for sure, possibly several internet pilot friends that I will be meeting out there for lunch. I don't even have to leave until 10 a.m. Bonus! So it looks to be a great day for a trip; not challenging weather, not challenging plane, not challenging airspace, and at least one friend, a lovely lady, to join me for lunch. Good thing I'm not superstitious or I'd be afraid I just jinxed myself. ;)
