My new iPhone arrived today, and one thing you have to like about Apple is that it's really easy to go from one product to another. Back it up on the Cloud, turn on the new phone, pull the backup off of the Cloud, and your phone has everything on it that your other phone did, text messages, photos, even my same browsers were open. Pretty cool, actually.
My iPad, on the other hand, had new updates for Garmin Pilot on it, and now when I try to open Garmin Pilot, it just crashes. This is a problem. The updates were to fix bugs and make it work with the new Operating System for Apple, which I had refused to download because I have an iPad 2 and I'd heard people were having problems with it. But now I'm not left with a choice. It's been an hour so far and I'm updating the new IOS 8.0.2 on the iPad and hoping that once I get that done, my Garmin Pilot will work again. If not, I'm...not happy, and will be without charts/approach plates for trips until I can get it to work. It's not even updating yet, it's "preparing the update". Good grief.
Kaylee is definitely not feeling well. She hasn't felt well all day, she wanted to cuddle, she went to bed early. She did still have a tennis match today, and won it 8 games to 0. They killed it. That's pretty good for a trying-not-to-be-sick kid.
I flew in the Cub for 1.4 doing 3 point then wheel take offs and landings with someone, and with the open door and the cool air, we enjoyed ourselves. Right afterwards I had a fellow in the 172 doing takeoffs and landings too. I spent 3 hours in the pattern this evening...
Steve is feeling fine. Once his head unclogged, he was okay. I'm fine too. For now. But Kaylee being sick and laying on me probably doesn't bode well for me in the next week. It's okay. I don't want to get sick, at all, but she's 13, and the number of times she'll want to snuggle up to me are probably dwindling fast...
How do you go low and slow?
