Wiped

I wonder why my arms/back feel like I dropped from over 5 feet in the air onto a push-up position with a few extra Gs on it, as if in order to avoid having my face hit the ice and concrete.  Oh, yeah.  You know, I may have to take off a few pounds if for no other reason than so that the next time I wipe out in my own personal accelerated stall I'll have less weight landing on my knees/arms/wrists.  I can't complain though--I'm fine.  An SMA mom who just had knee surgery just wiped out on the ice and it split her leg back open, like big bad wound, which makes me hurt just sitting here on my chair.  I need to think about something else now.  Not because it's "gross" but because I can picture how much that hurt.  Moving on.

Flew for two hours today, takeoffs and landings, that didn't quite go as well as yesterday's batch.  The airport was more deserted at least, and we went over to Marion to do a bunch too, to give him something else to look at for awhile.  Steve had two students today, and hasn't made it back from that yet.  I had thought about doing a little test flying on the 340 today after my lesson, but it was cold, and it was 2 pm, and I hadn't had any food since dinner last night, and I ran flat out of motivation.

I've been working on a writing project.  Not my "How Not To Do It" book I joke about, per say, but a few things about flying.  I had gotten about 20 pages into it when I hit a bit of a wall on it.  From here it's hard to decide where to go on it, I guess.  So many things happen all during the same time frame, and connect in various ways, and make it hard to organize it in a fashion that makes sense, without a bunch of back tracking.  I took a week off of working on it, game called for lack of direction, but I suppose I'd better get back to it if I'm going to.

We didn't get a weekend, didn't get a day off, but that's how it goes...
