Tonight was Opening Night for "The 12 Daughters of Hercules", Kaylee's play. It was a full house, the seats were filled, and the current mayor of Kokomo was there too. :) As season ticket holders, we got front row reserved seats, which is Right There. The kids did well with the play, of course. There are four Pages, and they narrate the whole play, have funny one-liners, do a little music playing and dancing, and make it a light-hearted, fun play. Kaylee did great, remembered all her lines, and had fun with it. I'm getting the routine down now, so I had a small bouquet of flowers to give her for opening night, and afterwards we had punch and cookies while she worked the room, talked to all her friends and to the various people who produce plays for this group. I got a photo or two, and then dragged her home around 10 pm, tired but pumped. One show down successfully, three more to go, two on Saturday, one on Sunday. As we pulled into the driveway, the radio had a segment on about the list of Academy Award Nominees. Kaylee offhandedly said "I'm gonna be on that list some day."

Getting the make-up on for one of the practice nights.
Opening night, two of the Pages sit on the stage. (Irony? The other page is a girl that Kaylee went to playgroup with as a toddler, whom she hadn't seen in ten years, and the mom recognized me from back then and introduced herself. Wild, small world!)
Her friend A, who was the "Smart" daughter of Hercules, and Kaylee the Page with her pretty bouquet of flowers. :)
