Merry Christmas! We started off slow around here, with Kaylee being the last one out of bed. There's something wrong with that--I asked her what happened to the kid who jumped on top of me in bed early in the morning and said "It's CHRISTMAS, Mommy, get UP!" or who used to stand by Grandma's bed early in the morning and stare at her to wake her up. :D
We had a morning snack, then opened presents, then came back in and had another home grown breakfast.
When it got dark we drove over to Rossville and went to the big light display out there in the country for a little extra Christmas spirit. They did an amazing job and I can't imagine how long it took to do all that.
Ann made homemade chicken and noodles, and I made homemade mashed potatoes, and we had too much to eat again. I'd been good until today, but we have pumpkin loaf and Amish bread and chocolate fudge and peanut butter fudge and all SORTS of delicious things to eat, and many of them are baked goods that you can't let sit for a week first. I am not wasting that good stuff.
Tomorrow afternoon some of us are going to Indy, and Kaylee gets to try her hand at ice skating for the first time. This could be interesting. ;)
This is short and sweet, it's late and I'm sleepy, but it was a lovely day. I downloaded my pictures from the last couple days, and will get them up soon...
