Lost Saturday

The last 15 hours or so have been pretty unpleasant ones around here.  I woke up around 4 a.m. with a mi---mighty big headache.  I got up and took something, went back to bed, and it just kept getting worse, which is unusual.  Took something else, bigger, went back to bed, still no help. My two flights for today were fortunately canceled by bad weather anyway.  I stayed in bed until noon or so, and couldn't break it. Got up and tried to eat something, which decided it didn't want to stay put either.  Took an official med for it, stayed in bed until 3, still bad.  Tried some caffeine and a double dose of the official med, back to bed until 5, finally it started to break, but I was still really sick.  It's after 9 pm now and I'm just now starting to feel back to normal. I lost my whole Saturday, which just makes me angry.  We were going to go get our Christmas tree today if I didn't have to fly, so Kaylee's not happy either.  Of course she woke up not feeling well too.  Headache, really sore throat, plugged up ears.  She took a massive bath, for hours, during which time I tried to shower to feel more human and had no hot water, ;), and she came out feeling better.  Now she's all peppy, at least.  :)   Me, I'm working on it.

Poor Steve was on his own today, and we'd had plans to have a few folks over for a nice dinner, too.  I'd bought the whole fillet, and needed to run to the store today to get all stuff for the side dishes. I ended up not being able to stay vertical for more than about 15 minutes without getting ill, so he found some green beans in our freezer and had one of the guys bring some rolls and wine with him, and the dinner went on as planned.  Mostly.  I just stayed out of the way, since I look like a walking zombie.  ;)  By the time it was done, after 6, I even ate some, and thankfully it decided to sit well, and it was deeee-licious!  He got the fillet a perfect medium-rare...and we have leftovers to enjoy for a few days too.

Just saw a commercial that cracked me and Kaylee up.  It said "Now a social game can get even more social!  Out now, Words with Friends as a board game!  Have your friends over and play in person!"  I looked at the TV and said "That game's been around for decades--it's called SCRABBLE!"  Kaylee said "So they took a board game and made it to play on the computer, and now they're making a big deal of taking the computer game and putting it back on a board.  THERE'S an idea."  Yup...

Here's a blog entry that I couldn't stop laughing at as I read.  It's about body functions, so if those disturb you, don't read.  :)

On a horrible note, there is a video I saw called "Giant Toilet Spider".  A guy goes into a public restroom and lifts the toilet seat, one of those that doesn't sit flush on the seat, but has posts to hold it up a little, and underneath scuttles this HUGE, fast, black spider.   It's probably the worst thing I've seen in awhile.  As if I didn't have ENOUGH problems...  You're going to think it's fake, so here you go, if this works, and if it does, blow it up full size, and you're WELCOME.
