Since I couldn't sleep last night, I stayed up and finished off a book, until almost 4 a.m. Every once in awhile you just get one of those nights where part of your brain may tell you that you ought to go to sleep, but the rest of you isn't cooperating. ;) Fortunately it happened when I didn't have anything super critical early the next morning.
Kaylee, Steve and I attempted to go out to a nice pancake breakfast, but my first lesson of the day bumped up into the line of folks waiting at the restaurant, so I left them there to enjoy and I went on out to the airport. I had a nice flight in the 172, and the student's mom rode along in the back seat. Next up was an 80 year old gent getting a flight in the T-6. He'd been a pilot longer than my mother has been alive, was a tailwheel guy, who hadn't flown in the last year for medical reasons, but had been regularly flying up till then. Pretty great guy, he did most of the flying, and he did very well with it, too. I think he's probably the most aggressive person on the controls I've had in there on a ride to date. Go, sir. :)
Steve and Kaylee played Xbox sports for awhile, until they were both tired. Last night we all played Rock Band. I'm still the queen of guitar, though Steve is always just a few points off of me, but Kaylee is quickly becoming the queen of drums. She does better than either of us on those things, even on a medium setting.
I'm trying out a new series of candies called "Unjunked. Unreal.". They have peanut butter cups, M&Ms, twix bar and snickers like bars, only they have "No artificials, no hydrogenateds, no corn syrups, no preservatives, no GMDs." They'are just...chocolate, skim milk, vanilla extract, cane sugar, cocoa butter, milk powder, colored with beetroot juice, etc. All natural, low in sodium, compatible in calories, a little lower, has fiber in there, etc. The peanut butter cups tasted exactly the same to me. The M&Ms taste different than M&Ms, but they're still chocolate and they're still good. I figured it was worth a shot, and so far I like them. I got them at Kroger, not sure where else they are, but I don't mind junk food with a little less junk in it. :)
I guess tomorrow is back to Monday...I have flight scheduled from 10 a.m. through to 11 p.m., so if the weather holds out I ought to stay busy enough.
