Last year for Mother's Day I took out my motorcycle for a spin, ended up at the airport, took the T-6 up for a spin, rode the motorcycle around for awhile longer, then ended up home for some family stuff. This year, the weather was gorgeous, but I just didn't feel like doing anything. Actually, I don't feel like doing anything for awhile, like maybe a week straight, but it's not vacation time yet, and I've got something all day, every day, through next Monday; so I'll just take this day, then patiently wait for my week, I guess. ;)
Steve grilled out burgers and dogs and had his mom & dad over for lunch. Kaylee made me a lovely card and gave me a box of nice memories, then later came out with a hot scented bubble foot bath for me to relax in while I read my book. I spent a good amount of time today just sitting and reading, and that's always a good way for me to spend time now and then.
The one time I got out today, I had a very specific and pleasing mission. I ended up going to Best Buy to pick up my new Nikon Coolpix camera. Red, of course! ;) Kaylee's camera unfortunately died and wasn't repairable. So, I gave her my little Canon. But I use my little Canon a bunch, keep it in my purse for those sunrise/sunset/clouds/storm/airplane/family/trip snapshots that I post a lot of. So I got a Mother's Day present of a new point and shoot. Ten X Optical zoom, more megapixels than I actually need, has lots of options and hopefully good quality pictures. The battery is charged, the date/language/time is set, and now all I need is an excuse to use it. :)
