Did a little checkride prep flight this morning, for 1.1, unusual attitudes, hood work, crosswind takeoffs and landings, and so forth. My after-lunch flight was canceled, which was okay as I then was able to take the time and do some things that needed caught up on. A tax form, folding, stuffing, licking, stamping and mailing out a bunch of airport billing that is now 8 days past due, a store run for necessities that had been lacking for two days that nobody had even complained about yet, some correspondence, yadda yadda.
When I picked Kaylee up from school, her friend that she's doing a project with needed to come over here so they could work on their project together. They have a marketing project. They had to come up with a product, come up with advertising (they are doing a TV spot, which they are recording now and will actually play on their TVs at school during lunch hour), have to pay for manufacturing, advertising, set up a sales booth, the whole ball of wax. It's actually a pretty cool project. Best of all, the rules clearly state that parents are not allowed to help. They don't want to turn this into whose Business-Running-Daddy can do a better project for their kid than another. Woooorks for me. ;)
On the way home from school, I told Kaylee I had a video she had to watch. I told her "It's adorable." She turned to her friend and said "Wow, if my mom says it's adorable, it must be adorable, because she doesn't say that kind of thing." I said "You're going to go 'aaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!'" I got the girls home and showed them this video, and sure enough...Kaylee said "Now THAT is ADORABLE." Just try to watch this (not much happens the first 22 seconds--be patient) and not say "Awwwww". I dare you. :)
