Other than a couple of cells to dodge at the end, today's trip was uneventful, although it felt awfully long to me. It was hot again. I'm going to have to quit saying that now that it's going to be a daily fact of life, but man I hate sweating, and no matter where I went these last two days it was 90 degrees. When I turn on the weather in the morning and the guy says "record-breaking heat today" and I'm in FLORIDA, well, I just want to go home. Not that it was any better at home... We were about 45 minutes short on fuel to be able to make the trip from FL to IN non-stop. Well, technically we should have been able to make it non-stop, we just wouldn't have had much fuel left in the tanks when we landed. I always want an hour reserve, and I think if we had a really good tailwind we could pull it off. But that day was not today. :)
I'm tired, so I'll just say it's good to be home, and here are a few photos I took yesterday/today...
Coming in to land at Bartow, FL
Weather over Florida
More weather over Florida
Traffic over Atlanta, which we flew over the top of.
Sunrise at Kokomo yesterday...
