Recap

It was way too nice outside to be inside, but we had too many things we had to work on. We finally got our Christmas tree and decorations down, packed up and put back in the garage, all 14 boxes or so of them. The tree is out by the curb where Kaylee is hoping it is going somewhere kind. She kept asking me where they would take it, and I kept hedging, but finally when she flat out asked if they'd go replant it and let it grow somewhere else, I had to tell her that when we cut it down and separated it from its roots, it was going to die, and there's nothing we can do about it now. She was sort of bummed but I've kept her distracted from the thought ever since, so maybe she won't focus on her specially picked tree being taken to a dump somewhere. We didn't have to worry about that with the fake tree. ;) But I like the real tree better, smell and sight and all.

We've mostly got our furniture back re-arranged, and I've started cleaning up a few things as we're having overnight company for a couple days this upcoming week. Steve got a nice Apple keyboard to work with my iPad, I'm going to try to put some songs on it and on Kaylee's Kindle, and we're just trying to get some stuff done. I have to work on billing tonight as we're well past due on the end of the month. I have some deposits to make for SMA Support that were donations prior to 1/1/12, too. My logbook's behind since Sept., and one of the insurance companies needs some totals, so I need to do that, too. Kaylee's birthday is coming up fast and I have no idea what to do for it. Of the list of upcoming flights, student checkrides, maybe formation ground school, and several things I have on my to do list, nothing stresses me out--except the birthday thing. What to do and where to do it...and soon. *sigh* Any ideas?

I guess I'll get back to watching the playoffs while I start cranking out the billing while the clothes in the dryer run down...
