Friday

Woke up a little under the weather this morning, but good enough to go flying for an hour and do checkride prep takeoffs and landings. There was ground fog over to the east of us, with the sun and blue sky above, making for a really pretty landscape down there. Trees and things poking up out of the white on the ground nearby, etc. :)

I took Kaylee out to the airport for lunch, as she wanted to play with a couple kids she thought were going to be there, and we were having ham and beans, so I stopped at Subway for both Kaylee and me, as we are bad "southern" gals who both dislike ham & beans. Some day maybe I'll get there--after all, I liked Steve's baked beans with bacon and onion in them tonight...

The headache I'd had all morning kept getting worse, no matter what brand of pain killer I threw at it, until I'd well exceeded appropriate dosages of Extra Strength Tylenol and Excedrin Migraine formula, and tried a nap, and caffeine, and food, and another dark room, so for the first time in a couple years I had to break out an Imitrex. I'm just grateful I have stuff that works for those stubborn times. :)

This evening after I recovered, we headed out to a friends' house out in the country, cooked this delicious steak/potato/baked beans meal, sat out around a large campfire, bundled up a bit because of the cool air, sat around and talked. Kaylee hung with us until about 10 pm, then she got her iPod out and listened to some tunes by the fire until she got sleepy. I brought her home around 11, while the boys stayed out there to camp out. Kaylee and I were invited to camp out all night too. It's going to be a low of 32 tonight, with frost. Yeah, I'm good right here. In my water bed. With warm, soft, flannel sheets. Thankyouverymuch. ;)
