I think Grissom needs better weather forecasters. Maybe less educated ones. Like me. I was supposed to have another long, multiple round-trips flight to St. Louis this afternoon through evening, getting back after 2 a.m. again. The weather sounded mostly fine. I then pull up the radar and there is a mass of weather in Illinois, headed southeast at a track that looked pretty much right at us. I go back to all the forecasts around, and none of them reflect what my eyeballs see. I show Steve. Yep, doesn't look promising to him either. I show Nathan. He suggested I get a hotel room in St. Louis. I finally have to call and let the guys know that I can't guarantee this trip will go off, that it doesn't look good. So right now it's 3 pm as I write this paragraph. My updated forecast says I should have storms from 2-3 pm then it should be fine. Wrong. As of 3 it hasn't even arrived. So how educated in weather do you have to be to look at radar and tell people when the weather is going to arrive? These guys are often not even close...

I spent a few hours this evening finishing off my logbook. One hundred and twenty entries I had to make. I still don't have everything added up, I'll do that before bed tonight, but I know of several of those entries that are for trips ranging from 3-10 hours each. I've been a busy girl...

Kaylee is still enjoying school, although she is not enjoying having homework. She had two pages of math, one of science and one of language to do tonight. Thing is, all but one of them was really easy, and it STILL took her awhile to get done. Hopefully this easing into it thing will work out so that by the time it starts getting hard, she'll be ready to hit it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it... She does like the bus ride though, and she gets to ride with two new friends, so they all enjoy the 20-30 minute ride both ways.

I slept in this morning so that I would be good and rested for my long flight late tonight. I am, in fact, well-rested, even though I'm not going on that trip now. It's kind of nice. ;)

Kenny & Ann were out in the yard working on making the garden there looking beautiful. Richard has been watering my lovely rose plant, and now with all the rich, dark soil and the new plants out there, it's looking very peaceful and pretty. Thanks everyone!

Well, I'll get some dinner going here, finish adding up my logbook, and maybe do a little billing. Maybe...
