My schedule today was to fly from 10 a.m. straight through, no breaks, until 6 or 7 p.m. I was preparing to pack some snacks, when my 10 a.m. guy called to say he wasn't feeling well. So instead I stayed home and worked on end of month billing. My next student was noon to three. While we went up, the rest of the gang went over to Muncie for lunch. Right after that lesson ended at 3 pm, I was supposed to fly over to Lafayette to fly with a gentleman in his own airplane for a checkout and in prep for a trip to Minneapolis we're supposed to do on Friday. He called and said something had come up too. So we had this gorgeous weather day, but only one flight worked out-over lunch. It ended up working fine considering I had billing to do anyway, but you like to do billing on rainy days and fly on sunny days, not sit on the ground on sunny days...AND rainy days. :)
Kaylee wrote this goofy story that she read us tonight, and I really enjoyed it. She did it in a website, so I don't have a copy to post here, but it was a short story that was very imaginative, used good vocabulary words and grammar, didn't have a bunch of short, choppy sentences, and really I thought it was pretty well done. If I can get a copy, I will, as I know a few of you would get a kick out of it. She giggled the whole time she was reading us her goofy story out loud. I love her giggle... ;)
