Friday Fun

I enjoyed reading this article this morning, about the TSA potentially being "kicked out" of Texas. I knew I liked that state for some reason. Folks seem to forget that states have rights too. Of course, as Steve said, New York could refuse to allow any flights from Texas into its' doors, in which case the federal government would probably step in, but still, the idea, whether it "goes" or not, made me smile. Somebody said New Hampshire is filing something similar too, but I don't know if that's true for sure. Still--smile worthy.

It's no fun when you have a decent flying story to tell but can't really tell the whole story. Today we had what we'll call "a failure to communicate". :) I was asked to bring a plane back to Glenndale, which I did (in the rain), to a progressively soggier runway, successfully. Tucked it away, and then found out later that the reason I thought I'd been "drafted" to do this particular job, to "get it done", was in fact actually a sort of oops. I'd wondered a little, but if it needed done, then I'd come up with a plan and do it, so that's what I did. Oh well--it makes for a decent story for that book I'm putting out after I'm permanently done flying anyway. ;)

I was supposed to fly to Minneaoplis today, but the plane was still down for maintenance and I ended up staying. It would have actually worked fine to fly in today's weather--it was rainy, but not stormy or low IFR or anything. Oh well. Next time, hopefully.

Kaylee is happy it's Friday. So is Steve. So am I. None of us even has anything we have to do over the weekend. It's going to storm some more, so it'll be a good day to either huddle up at home in comfy clothes, or go hang out at the hangar. Either way works. :)
