Prep

Today has been a prep day for a student's checkride. We were supposed to fly, but things like ice pellets and freezing rain and 500 foot ceilings made that a very bad idea. So instead he went over all his oral prep with Steve and Joe, I went through his logbook and made sure all the endorsements were in and correct and signed him off, and throughout the day we've gone over the flight plan for his plotted cross-country, his application online, a little weight and balance and just a bunch of prep work. As I've said, being an instructor is part teacher, part therapist, part friend, part drill sergeant, but the bottom line is that your instructor wants you to pass almost as badly as you do. :)

Kaylee did great on her guitar lesson today, and her instructor Eric jammed along with her on his electric guitar, which she loved. Today was her first day of school freedom, and she spent it playing on the computer, reading, and playing the Kinect Wii games, which at least involves jumping, running, stretching, kicking, etc. She's waiting for OUR holiday to begin too, but we are really busy right now! Soon, though. Soon. :)
