While we are grateful for the more Spring-like weather, I think I jinxed myself. I said I was glad to only have to worry about storms instead of ice, because I don't like messing with icing in flying, but storms you can usually go around or wait for them to move. Friday I was supposed to fly to Alabama and back, but a giant wad of thunderstorms in between here and there put an effective stop to that. The storms covered parts of a five-state area, lasted most of the day, and I didn't stand a chance. The first time I had a trip where I didn't have to mess with icing and I get stuck by storms. Ironic.
Glenndale's runway was closed due to snow drifts for quite awhile and now the runway is closed due to flooding.
But at least we are warmer. ;)
Steve spent today getting everything working on my newly updated computer. It takes a village to get Laura's computer (and scanners and printers and software and...) running properly, or at least three of the village people. ;) Greg, Steve and Justin all helped, and remind me again that I'm glad to not be on my own, stuck calling Dell's Help Center based in India or something.
Kaylee didn't do much exciting today. She helped me bake brownies, cleaned her room and bathroom, and played Disney Fairies. A day off, sort of, though it was kind of another work day for Steve, returning phone calls, going through papers, and working on computer problems...
I was supposed to have another flight this afternoon which once again was canceled for weather, but that left me relaxing most of today instead.
Clocks are going forward in an hour or so here and that makes it almost officially Spring. :) It's also almost officially my bedtime. The cats are both asleep, the kid is asleep, and the spouse is asleep. I'm the last one standing, and I'm droopy and trying to finish off Saturday Night Live...
