Breezy

I had to cancel a student today thanks to thunderstorms that never actually showed up when they were supposed to. Oh well, it would have been a little too gusty for him anyway right out of the gate. So instead Chuck dropped me off at Sheridan where I picked up the Cherokee 180 and flew it back to Kokomo for the maintenance guys to look into something.

When I picked Kaylee up from school, she asked to take me out for my birthday. She had $5.00 and wanted to take me to ice cream, so I drove her to the Cone Palace and we sat inside while she had an ice cream cone and I had a peanut butter shake with chocolate chunks in it. Yum! We just sat and chatted and laughed and spent some time hanging out as girls. I had flashbacks of going to the local Dairy Queen with my mom when I was a little girl, sitting and hanging out and chatting. Kaylee just sat there eating her cone, kicking her feet, looking around at people, making up silly stories, busting up laughing when I got silly with her. You know, once in awhile I look at her at just the right angle and it feels like I'm looking at myself. Kind of amazing, really...

I have been without a desktop computer for a couple days here as Steve has taken it away to operate on it. As I'm typing this I hear him pulling into the driveway with my newly resuscitated computer with Windows 7 installed on it, and I'm sure he's eager to get right to work and hook it all up for me and reinstall Outlook and get everything up and running. ;) It sure is handy having a computer fella in the family!
