Hope Springs Eternal

A little bit of dead winter ground combined with the first offerings of Spring. :) Since today was cold and gray again, I thought I ought to post this picture I took in Ann's garden when it was sunny the other day as a reminder that it really is the end of March and life is peeking out here and there.

Kaylee's school extended the testing by another day, because the math test alone was over an hour and twenty minutes long, and they thought that was a bit much to put on 1-3rd graders at once, so they divided it up. So far she says it's going fine...

I fixed "La Choy" for dinner tonight, which totally grossed out Kaylee. It's the one meal I don't make her eat with us. She insists it looks and smells and tastes like cat food. When it's cold in the can, I'll give her that it looks and smells kind of suspect. ;) I made her eat it twice, and as she eloquently put it tonight, "You're not going to make me eat that, are you??? Last time I almost barfed." So, if Kaylee ever joins you for dinner, do me a favor and fix La Choy so I can find out exactly how good her manners really are. ;)
