Warm Chocolate

We were supposed to get snow today, but if it happened it was so little and so fast that I never saw it. That's okay with me. I couldn't get going this morning and ended up taking a couple of hours to, well, not do much of anything. I did try to make up for it a bit this afternoon though.

I actually ended up hurting muscles in my back yesterday, muscles that only started being super sore today, which is funny and pathetic at the same time. It hurts to stand up or sit down or bend. At least nobody can claim I wasn't giving it the old college try. ;)

When I picked Kaylee up from school, her teacher opened the door, leaned in and said "Kaylee is a shopping machine. She wore out Pastor Jeff by the time she was done!" I laughed. Yes, I do know that about this kid. Poor Pastor Jeff, I feel sorry for him! Kaylee was excited to have gotten presents for everybody at today's "Secret Santa Shop". She told me what she got several people and can't wait for them to open the presents.

This afternoon Kaylee and I fixed some homemade chocolate chip muffins. A warm chocolate chip muffin with a bit of butter inside goes a long way on a cold wintry day. A little hot chocolate to end the day is even better. Chocolate does make the world a better place you know!
