No school delays today either, but it was 12 degrees this morning, so I made sure Kaylee was layered up for school today. She stepped outside the house and said "It's not cold out here, Mom!" I said "It is too, you just can't tell because you're so well protected." She didn't believe me, so I had her stand outside while I went to get the Jeep out of the garage. By the time she got in the Jeep, she believed me. ;)
For us it was a day of paperwork. Steve worked out at the office and I worked at home, because once again no flying was going to happen. I got some website stuff done, some SMA supplies ordered and shipped out, got my pile of paperwork that had started building up again back in order, got bills paid, made two bank deposits, and activated two new cards now that one of my banks has been taken over by another and has re-issued all my stuff. There were more errands, but that's about enough I'd say!
(One thing-to activate the cards, I had to use them at an ATM first. Well, the minimum amount of money they'd let you take out is $20. Man-does anybody else remember when you could withdraw $5?)
Tonight several of us ladies went out to dinner to catch up and enjoy the company. We only do it a few times a year, so it's always nice to get out and about and eat a little too much and talk about what everyone's been up to. We spent a couple of hours sitting and chatting and downing beverages and had a nice time.
Kaylee signed me up to bring "Reindeer Cookies" for her school party next Friday. I guess I'd better find a reindeer cookie cutter and see if I have a rolling pin anywhere. ;)
