It was a beautiful day, and myself, Steve and Ty all had several flights each today with folks who wanted to make the most out of a (finally!) good day. I had a 3-leg cross-country flight in the morning until lunch, then had a checkride prep flight with a guy after lunch, both in KS. We had a little fun at the end of the second flight, doing engine outs with a big old slip to land at Glenndale, which he enjoyed. We also met with someone new to the area who started flying in 1952, is an instructor, lots of tailwheel time, and like the rest of us addicts, found his way to the nearest grass strip as quickly as possible to check things out. :)
Kaylee went with her grandparents after school for a little special time, had some good food and a little shopping trip and a fun time. After my afternoon flight I came home to get back to work on the last of the time sheets from September and get some more things done around the house.
News today broke about results from Ardi, the fossilized remains that are "a step closer to the missing link". With this discovery, scientists have had to reverse their former theory, previously accepted and taught in schools as fact by many for decades now, that man evolved from chimps.
Kaylee cracked a joke on the way to school today, and when I laughed, she burst out with "Oooh, man I'm on FIRE today!" :)
Looking forward to Friday...

"Once I might have wished for that: never to grow old. But now I know that to stay young always is also not to change. And that is what life's all about--changes going on every minute, and you never know when something begins where it's going to take you."
