Last night Kaylee kind of wigged out on us. She was mostly asleep, but she woke up several times in the night with a fever problem. She thought her music box was talking to her at one time, and thought something shattered when she dropped her cool wet cloth I had on her forehead, for examples. Steve ended up staying on the couch where he could hear her if she called out, and he had to go in a bunch of times, and she was just...altered. Her fever was around 102, and she's several times gotten over 103 or even 104 in the past without this kind of behavior. It was really weird, and at one point before I went to bed when I went to check on her, she was lying there with her eyes open but looking like nobody was home. She didn't make any sense, so we flipped on lights, took temps, woke her up fully, etc. It was...disconcerting. She woke up this morning perfectly fine and overly energetic. By three this afternoon her fever started rising again, but she acted fine, and has ever since. Her temperature today has been at to below the 102 range to even normal most of the day, and she was surprised when I told her no school tomorrow. I don't think so! :) She really does act perfectly normal most of the time, even bouncing off the walls bored with being stuck in the house. But that time of confusion last night was just creepy!
This afternoon I headed back to Detroit with three people on board. We had a nice flight, and enjoyed a sunset view back into Kokomo. The pilot enjoyed the flight-a little Class B airspace (busy airspace), a new, faster airplane to fly with gizmos, a little night time, and flying in the IFR system which was new to him, a little actual in the cloud time, and all in all he had a great time, and I always enjoy doing new things with pilots. His wife packed sandwiches and apples again, which was appreciated!
Tonight I'm on call for Kaylee, and I hope she has a good night's sleep and no weird wig-outs. :)
