Our friend Kenny celebrated his 55th birthday a few days early with a party at his house this afternoon. There was a little excitement with a sick grandson when we first arrived, but we soon settled in with lots of good food and drinks and a tasty butterscotch dessert. Kenny has a fire pit in his back yard as well, and the evening ended with everyone outside watching the stars come out around a crackling fire. Kaylee is so exhausted from staying up late last night on a sleepover with her Dad and staying up late tonight and playing with Ruby outside that when I tucked her into bed tonight smelling like a camp fire and toothpaste she didn't complain about a thing; she just laid down and hugged her "squishy" pillow and looked quite cozy. I think it's good to wear her out now and then. ;)
