"Adventures" in Aviation
Remember when I said it was a good time to be on the ground? Well, apparently Steve was up in someone else's no weather equipped airplane trying to work his way back home VFR when the thunderstorms popped up and solidified into a line between him and home. Much maneuvering later convinced him that he wasn't going to safely make it back to Kokomo, so he ended up landing in Terre Haute to see what was what. To make things better for him, he'd left his cellphone in the car and was left with no way to communicate with the airplane owner or me. He ended up getting very slow internet service for awhile, and knowing me, knew it was safe to email me and assume I'd get it fairly quickly. :) We've been communicating via slow, sporadic emails as I'm looking up weather, radar, forecasts, hotels, options, etc. for him, as we determine when it's good to come home. Welcome to life in aviation!
