I brought Steve some lunch out to the other airport, because this week he has lessons booked up with no lunch break anywhere from early morning through late afternoon. This is good for business for the week--not so good for getting anything else done or...eating. :) It was getting really bumpy up there today even by the time I came down before lunch, and his flight was doing a bunch of commercial maneuvers, which meant lots of circling and pulling and diving and such. His student asked to quit for the day because it was making him queasy, and Steve didn't argue either.
Kaylee was irritated because they had a substitute teacher today, and this teacher sent home homework! It's just one page of math, but Kaylee was completely indignant because she's made it all year long without a single page of take home work. This school will let you work on it at school, and if you finish it, you're done. If you can't, then you have to take it home and work on it there. She's been happy to have never had to have homework this whole year...until now, the last week of school. Kind of funny. (Next Tuesday is really her last day, but both it and the Monday before are 1/2 days.)
When Kaylee got home from school, she had one thing on her mind: water. She got the hose out
and started off getting herself all wet in her school clothes. Next she moved to a swim suit and I got out the sprinkler, which she set up under her swing set and had some water fun while swinging and sliding. She also wanted to get some water balloons, so I made up two big fat ones for her. The first she smashed on the ground, and the second she tried to toss on herself. You know what happened-it bounced off of her and smashed on the ground anyway. A little pout later, she just got a bucket and dumped it over her head and finished it. ;) She came in and took a hot bath to get warmed back up (since it isn't super warm today), cuddled up with a blanket and some hot oatmeal, and is about to go to bed for the night. She had a fun afternoon. It's good to be a kid, isn't it? :) Of course I took a few photos which you can see here...
