Today was Jeff & Cindy's last day with us. We went out to the airport and grilled out burgers and dogs and played on some toys. We didn't have the Segway 'keys' to play with that, but Kaylee rode her bike and scooter, and her "Aunt" Cindy rode Kaylee's bike and scooter too. I have pictures to prove the bike. ;) Unfortunately the scooter resulted in a trauma when it hit a rock, bringing the scooter to a quick halt, but not the woman riding the scooter, who went over the

handlebars and hit the concrete face first, breaking her sunglasses against her face, smashing into her chest, breaking her watch clasp, and hurting her pinkie finger joint. Kaylee was actually upset, saying that everyone that plays with her gets hurt, because first her Grandma Chiles wiped out while racing her, and now Aunt Cindy fell off a scooter while riding with her. I assured her it wasn't her fault that we adults wiped out now and then. :) I did enjoy flying the T6 today, with Steve and a friend named Justin, and it was such a pretty day. The cooler, smooth air is so nice...blue sky that stretches forever. :) Kaylee also got to drive the golf cart around by herself a little bit. She's pretty responsible about it-watching where she is going, driving safely, stopping at the ends and looking for traffic, taking corners at appropriate speeds, etc. She really does do a good job about it, which is why we let her. Today she learned about backing up, and that will take her a little more practice!
We packed up and came home and fixed up a big old meal including a spaghetti sauce Jeffrey made up that was thick, meaty and tasty, and the seven of us had a nice evening dinner. I made a cake later that night and Cindy made the frosting, and we topped off a nice weekend with too much but good food.
Kaylee is going through an insomnia kind of thing, where she feels weird and she doesn't know why, and her mind is racing so that she can't go to sleep. Sadly, I know how that feels and there isn't much we can do for her on it, but it's really bothering her, and part of it is Jeff and Cindy leaving tomorrow morning. She's not ready for her company to leave again. As I always say, she's a lucky girl to have so many people who care about her. :)
Pictures will have to wait for tomorrow-we're headed to bed!
