Kaylee took a specially decorated cookie to school with her today to give to her teacher, and waited on eating her decorated cookie for our party tonight. That's amazing restraint for her!
I walked into lunch at Half Moon, and the waitress made a comment about the "birthday girl", so I shot a look around at the table like "oh no you didn't". She reassured me that they don't do anything crazy there, no saddles, no hats, no group singing, but I do get a free dessert out of it. NOW we're talking. ;)
If you're waiting for me to whine about being another year older, you'll have to wait for a different year, because 37 just doesn't seem old to me yet. On the other hand, I went to the store because we were down to one roll of toilet paper. $50 later worth of supplies, I got home without any additional toilet paper. I'd blame it on advancing age, except, well, okay, maybe it is advancing age. ;)
This afternoon I went online and downloaded or saved off or printed off as much information as I could about formation flying. Weather, airplane and time permitting, I may be participating in one or two formation clinics this year. I have the main manual, but I went looking for specific requirements for specific groups and such. That thar is a lot of information to swallow, let me tell you. :) Anyway, when I was looking around the main website, a website I've never been to before in my life, I found a photo I took! I don't have any idea where they got the photo from, but on this website was one of my photos from the back of Nathan's Mustang flying over the Indy 500 in formation with two other Mustangs. Well, however they got it, I'm glad they liked it. I liked it too. lol
Tonight Kaylee decorated our dining room with a festive theme, and set out milk, ice cream, the specially decorated cookies with a candle sticking out of the middle of mine, a donut with another candle sticking out of it, and a bag of presents for me. She hid on top of the dryer, and when they called me into the room, she leaped out and yelled "surprise!" They sang, I made two wishes, we ate, I opened my presents. She gets SO excited about birthdays, she just loves them. She's a sweetie...

Thank you to everyone who called, emailed, texted, sang, sent cards, facebooked, etc. me today. It was lovely, and I enjoyed the birthday wishes. :)
