Now this is almost my kind of Saturday. I sleep like a rock, sleep in undisturbed, get up to blue skies, sunshine and warmer temperatures, and spend the day with family. We went out to the airport and took Kaylee's bike, and Nathan and Jamie & Gwenie were there too, so the kids got to run around and play outside in just a sweater (on Kaylee's part) until dark. The rest of us adults just piddled around doing little projects that you don't really do normally when you are on a time crunch to accomplish this or that. You know, like spotting something on the outside of the Baron that nobody knows what it goes to, so you hook up the APU and break out the manuals and try to figure it out. Or putting the new approach plates out and boxing up the old ones. Or working (or observe and rarely help someone else working) on some little stuff on the T-6 or Baron or tug or whatever. Of course I said "almost" my kind of Saturday, because I need two things to make it "my" kind of Saturday: Twenty-five more degrees and actually committing aviation.
It was a lovely Saturday none-the-less. :)
