Flyers

It was Run-Around Monday today. Kaylee was up and in school ready to go, and I went from there to two banks, a post office, the grocery store, then home to unload in time to turn around and head out to the office. We ate lunch there, then I went with Nathan to Kentucky and back (Lexington) in the Cheyenne to pick up someone who needed a ride home. When we left, it was cold, kind of windy, overcast and hazy. We broke out into sunshine less than half way there, and at Lexington I took off my sweatshirt and enjoyed the flight home in a t-shirt. When we landed back at Kokomo it had cleared off and become a lovely day here too, finally. It was nice to see the earth from 23,000 feet in the air again. :)

Kaylee is a little excited because her cheer group did basically "tryouts" to replace a couple of "flyers" (girls on top of the pyramid) because they couldn't do a good enough "split v" or leg up maneuver, and Kaylee wants to try that flyer thing. She said she looked around and thought hers looked good. But Kaylee is pretty solid, and strong, and just normal flexibility, and there are several girls younger and smaller than she is there, and I don't see them moving her off of a base (holding up the flyer in the pyramid) position. We'll see-either way, cheer is sort of over the end of February after their "competition" in Indianapolis, and then they will continue to meet and practice every week until May if we want to attend, and then there's a recital in May where they will perform their routine again...which is new and I think sort of another way to get more money out of parents, but hey. ;)

Here's a photo I took out of the Cheyenne today-it's not an interesting flying photo by any means; it was prior to seeing much sunshine so it's all gray, but you can see how it handles the spinning propeller on some of these cameras...
