Well, That's Interesting

So on one side you have an inexperienced but interesting and charismatic black man running on a platform of "change" bringing in an old white guy who has been part of the same-old/same-old Senate routine for as long as I've been alive; and on the other side you have a same-old/same-old old white guy bringing in an inexperienced but interesting and charismatic woman. Well, I guess you can't say this isn't suddenly a somewhat interesting election.

It was a typical Friday. I got the house ready to be cleaned, then went out to Glenndale. Steve left out of Glenndale with another guy in a plane, and I chased them in the Citabria. We finally caught up with each other right about when we got to Sheridan, but we at least had a couple minutes of loose formation to say 'hello'. :) By the time I landed back at Glenndale, the lunch crew was there in full force. I was just walking in, when suddenly the T-6 goes blowing by. Always a nice view. A nice wheel landing later, Nathan and Steve C. were there and ready to have burgers too.

I stayed until it was time to get Kaylee, who had a good day at school. She won a beach ball because she didn't get her name on the board ANY times, which means she got a sticker every day, which meant at the end of the week she got to pick out a prize. I like the positive reinforcement rather than the negative of taking away recess time that the "other" place did, by a huge factor. I think you can teach without punishing, and I enjoy seeing examples of that. We went out to dinner with some friends, then Steve is relaxing outside by the fire with a couple of friends while I sit in here and watch the news and see everybody's reactions to the presidential candidates and their veep picks. It's a nice, quiet evening at home, cut short by knowing we both have to work tomorrow starting too early...
