Winter Storm III?

I was up until past 2 a.m. last night, so this morning arrived a little too early for me...early enough that I didn't even hear my radio alarm for the first 5 minutes it was going off. :) I got Kaylee to school, ran home and picked up some stuff, ran a couple of errands for Steve, that kind of thing. We ate lunch at Ci-Ci's Pizza place, which has good salad, decent soup, below average pizza, but excellent cheesy bread and cinnamon stick things. The problem is it's a buffet, and those are bad for people like me. Fortunately, like yesterday, I wasn't hungry at all, and it's a cheap buffet, so I didn't feel too bad in not stuffing myself. UNfortunately, after I was done eating, the sleepies of the last few days caught up with a vengeance.

I ran to the grocery store, with what I thought was plenty of time to spare prior to picking Kaylee up from school. I went to the store only because I was out of basics, but I *really* should have gone three days ago when I was also out of many of the basics, because today the store was Packed Out. We are under a Winter Storm something or other (advisory, warning, watch, whatever) starting here in a few hours, expecting to get 4-11" of snow depending on who you listen to, and everybody and their brother was out stocking up. The lines at the grocery store were backed up into the aisles, and it took me over 40 Minutes to get through the line! It was unreal. I'd have just left but I really didn't want to go without Diet Coke or toilet paper for the next few days. ;)

By the time I left there, I had just enough time to run home, throw my groceries that needed it in the freezer/fridge, and turn around and grab Kaylee at school and haul her to gymnastics.

Tonight I was going to take Kaylee and some dinner for everyone out to the airport and watch the Governor head out, maybe meet him, but I do believe I've finally hit the wall, and Kaylee's really tired too, so I'm just going to stay here, give her a bath, help her finish homework, put her to bed, and see if I can possibly stay awake myself until a normal bedtime. Right now it's not looking so promising. *yawn*. I feel kind of funny too, with a scratchy throat and a little cough. I'm trying to ignore it, and am hoping that a good night's sleep will go a ways towards combating it...

Quotes for the day:

"Undertake something that is difficult; it will do you good. Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow."
~Ronald E. Osborn

"The important thing is this: to be able at any moment to sacrifice what you are for what you could become."
~Charles du Bos
