Today

Today was spent just trying to 1) Recoup from the Kentucky trip and 2) Prepare for the Oshkosh trip.

We took the Jeep in to get it serviced for the long drive, and I called and begged to have the portable DVD player and all her movies that I left in the truck in KY UPSd to me to arrive prior to our (did I mention) long drive. Called the vet to see about getting the Rat Cat in quickly, called the pediatrician to try to get Kaylee in for an appointment and shots prior to starting first grade, you know, that kind of thing.

I also took a trip to the book store, because after all I will be 1) driving for 20 hours at least and 2) sitting and relaxing in Wisconsin. Boredom is a state of mind, and personally, I don't mind at all. Ha.

I got some SMA stuff ready to ship out tomorrow, got most of my clothes clean and ready to pack, and I think we're getting close to the cram. I've got tomorrow and Thursday to finish packing and getting ready. I look forward to being there and relaxing to the sounds of the channel "all airplanes, all the time". Sitting by the nightly campfire with a cool beverage, knowing Kaylee will have a playmate or two for a week straight (or for as long as they don't start getting on each others' nerves), excellent food, a comfortable place to sleep, a private place to go to the bathroom and shower that doesn't include coconut odor eaters or naked folks wandering around, and good friends near by. Works for me!
