A quote from a board outside of a local church here. "Global Cooling is No Picnic Either." Amen! :)
Something that really made me laugh and think of Kaylee when she was 3, not that she likes dinosaurs, just that strangers would often do a double-take when she'd actually speak up: "My three-year-old is obsessed with Dinosaurs. Recently we were riding on a bus, and he asked another passenger for her name. 'My name is Deena,' she said. 'Can you say Deena?' 'Deena,' said my son. 'Can you say pachycephalosaurus?'" HA! Love it.
I just learned that my mother got a "C" in bowling too, causing her a great deal of angst, and averaging under 90 on her bowling score even as an adult. Apparently that is a nasty gene we have in our particular pool!
Last quote for the day I think. "Hospitality is making your guests feel at home, even if you wish they were."
Today was Kaylee's short day at school, and after I picked her up, I got Wendy's and took it out to the airport for lunch. We came home and I worked on picking up around the house with her, doing chores, laundry, etc. until it was time to head to gymnastics. We were done there at 5 and went to dinner with Steve. I'm still full a couple hours later! Ugh.
I have a lot to do so I really should get started. Computer stuff, balancing my checkbook, catching up my and Chuck's logbook entries, etc. Oh, my flight today was cancelled due to weather. It might have been possible, but he said he didn't Have to get there, so he didn't want to try to force it. So, I was home today after all. Well, not always HOME, but in town anyway!
I burned off a cd of the photos I took bowling for Kaylee's teacher, and will get that to them tomorrow. The photos that have Kaylee in them are up on her site if you want to go check them out...
