Wind and Thunder

Mother Nature was very angry today. Low hanging grey clouds, 35 knot winds (or more) gusting around, power outages from the winds nearby, rain. Just a cold, grey, angry day. I didn't have to fly anywhere, so that was good. Wouldn't have been the best day for that!

I started watching "Severance" as something to watch, considering everything else is re-runs or Olympics. Boy is this a weird show. Don't bother. It's freaking...weird. And slow. A company puts a chip in people's brains (they choose this) that separates their personalities, one that goes to work every day 9-5 that has no memories of the other life, and one that is outside from 5 pm - 9 am and has no memory of the work life. So they call them "innies" and "outies", and they basically become two separate people inside one body. A decent premise, but the show is just....gosh it's weird. We don't know what they do or why, it's slow and everyone talks like a freak and it's dark and depressing and you don't even know why, and there's minimal actual interesting content. It's like watching paint dry. I kept waiting for it to get better, since it had  Christopher Walken and Patricia Arquette in it too, but she was EXTRA weird and uncomfortable, and now I just want to know how it ends and move on with what's left of my life. ;)

I got ready for the CAF weekend today. Got my presentation updated and saved off on a flash drive, got my quiz printed off for everyone, and did the prerequisites for tomorrow's CRM. I think I'm basically done other than actually attending all this stuff and then presenting mine.

The guys are still finishing up painting in our closets, repainting them white inside. Next week they should get our flooring done, and caulking and trim. They've pulled out our washer and dryer, so I did all our laundry last night in prep for that. I do like the kitchen so far.

Trying to decide if I buy/download the Cirrus training for the turbo tonight or just let it go. I think let it go, worry about it after this weekend.

I read an interesting article Here about a blood test that has been proven repeatedly to be accurate on predicting Alzheimer's before symptoms started. The older you are when you test positive for these proteins, the sooner symptoms will start, but it also gives you a heads up on starting treatments that can help. But so far they won't give you the test until you are a certain age and already showing symptoms, to confirm it that way vs expensive scans like they do now, or if you're part of the research on the blood tests. I don't know, I feel like I'd rather know and start taking something or doing whatever I can.

Kaylee and Molly are doing all right, nothing new...

Night!
