Yesterday I had a trip to Florida, delivering 6 people to their new condo down there, where they're spending the week. He said he has someone interested in the plane, that they are in the Bahamas this week, and he said if they buy it, maybe HE'LL go to the Bahamas for a week. Must be nice. ;)
While I was there, I stopped at the Island Gypsy place and got a grilled mahi-mahi sandwich and some keylime pie for Steve and a mango palm hearts grilled chicken salad for me later, to go. It was warm, sunny, and very Florida. I wish I could have enjoyed it more, but had a few things on the mind. Ah well. I did like sitting outside in short sleeves and seeing Christmas in Florida vibes around me.
Flight home wasn't great, I've had better days, but I landed at 8 something p.m. safe and sound, put the plane away, and came on home...
While I was gone, Kaylee and Steve went on a small hike to get back in the swing of things, and enjoyed themselves.
Today Steve, Kaylee and I went down to REI in Indy so she could look for some winter hiking gear. She found some of what she needed. She was looking at packs, and the guy who was there kept talking to Steve, not her. I went over and sat down on a bench, and after awhile Steve joined me, because he said the guy wasn't talking to Kaylee, and she was the one who needed to pick the pack out. I was glad he recognized that and left, and let Kaylee take charge of the conversation and the purchase. She has no problem doing that, but it's annoying when you're trying to do something and the people around you are dismissing you and only interacting with the dudes. I would know. ;) So brownie points for Steve for recognizing it and leaving it up to her. She found what she was looking for, and was excited about it, too!
Afterwards, because we hadn't eaten at all, we went to Maggiani's, if I spelled that correctly, a semi-fancy Italian place. My clams in garlic white wine sauce with linguini was good. Her fettucini alfredo with gluten free pasta was excellent, she says. Their bread, definitely not gluten free, was delicious. Warm, salty top, fresh, light bread with butter. Mmmmm.
It was in the mid 60s here today, and windy as heck. A line of storms went through, caused a lot of huffing and puffing, but no tornados here, just west of us. I don't have anything on the schedule for tomorrow, which is good considering it's 2 am and I'm up and wide awake. So is Steve, so hey, don't just blame me. ;)
I don't actually have anything on the schedule until mid-week in January, so that was probably my last flight of 2025, home from Florida. If true, that makes for 891.0 hours I flew in 2025. 739 of it was in multi-engines. 620 in turboprops. 98 in tailwheel. Flew 220 days out of the year. The longest streak of days of not flying was 11 days in a row--in April when my tooth tried to kill me. Most landings in one day was 53 landings in one day. March. Visited 134 different airports. Went to 29 states. Only flew 21 different airplanes this year. Usually it's quite a few more than that. Fastest accumulation of 100 hours was in 23 days. Did get to Puerto Rico this year. May be the last time I get to fly to anything like that, but at least I got to do two trips like that. Grand Cayman and Puerto Rico.
I have photos from Florida but just realized they aren't downloaded. So now that I'm finally getting sleepy, I'll do it tomorrow and update them here. I've got nothing else going on...

Tummers texted me this photo he had edited with some clouds. Thought it turned out pretty nice. :)
