Only down side is that my food for the day, up through now, as my door dasher is approaching, was a package of crackers, a Milky Way bar, a small personal bag of pretzels, and a handful of peanut butter M&Ms. And water. Six plus hours in the air, 2 hours in the car, 45 minutes on the ground in FL, and home for the evening.
Nothing new on Kaylee, she's doing pretty well.
Tomorrow morning early I take off in the Cheyenne with our new CFI, Ashley, to drop it off in Washington County, Pennsylvania for at least 3 months' worth of maintenance work. It has several Service Bulletins they're forcing us to comply with or they won't sign off the airplane. For several hundred thousand dollars. Ashley is excited to fly in the airplane over to Pennsylvania. We're getting a ride back from Morgan and Steve in the Aerostar, and then I have to run to Marion and pick up the Meridian, take it to Frankfort, pick up Andy and a guy, and fly them to Virginia. So, another full day!
Saturday we're taking the C-45 over to Lafayette to fly by the grass strip event they're having there, and then taking it on down to Indianapolis International to sit on the Fed Ex ramp as a thank you, participating in their event, because they gave us $10,000 to give 'free' rides to veterans this last year, which we did. We're providing a poster board that shows photos of the veterans we flew with, and a thank you, etc., and going to support their day too. So that'll be fun. I'm taking Ashley along on that too. Morgan is busy working. ;)
Sunday I'm taking the T-6, with Morgan, down to Columbus, Indiana for a "Women in Aviation" Day event from 1-4, just setting it up as a static display, answering questions, etc.
Early Monday morning, 6 am, Steve and I will be wheels-up in the Conquest with Ethan and Tell to go out to Bend, Oregon. We're going to go to the Epic Aircraft Factory Day. We're going to look over the factory, the airplanes, do a test flight in an Epic, and Ethan's going to see if it's something he wants to buy. If nothing else, it'll be an interesting flight, all the way out to Oregon and back, and to get to go along on an Epic test flight. I don't know if I'll get to actually fly it or if just Ethan will, but since he's the one who is buying it, I'm guessing he gets to fly it. ;) But I'm looking forward to that trip, even if it will be a lot of time sitting on our butts in the airplane.
So that's about it...
Blue skies, blue water
