Nailed It

I had one pressing problem. I had broken 3 of my perfect nails, and that means they're all messed up now. So I picked or cut off the rest of my left hand, and I needed someone to do my nails. I tried to make appointments the night before, and called on the phone the night before, and I couldn't find a place with openings in the morning. I only had the morning, because I was supposed to leave at 11 am to go to Marion and fly the Meridian out to Syracuse, NY and drop off a kid to his family.

So one of the nail places opened at 8 am. I got up at 7:15 so I'd be dressed and ready, and called them, and they had no openings. Another two opened at 8:30, so I called, no openings. The place down the road from me, the Vietnamese place, the site said they opened at 9 and they are walk-in. So I go there. Show up, and the door says they open at 9:30. I go get breakfast and go back, and nobody is there at 9:30. I make more calls. I'm feeling a little panicked by now, because I ONLY have this morning to do it and I'm running out of time. Another lady comes up to my car door and says the whole group of them had closed down and gone to Vietnam on vacation but she thought they were back, but if they didn't open by 10 she would leave. I'm like.. :o At 10 till 10, as I had called the last nail place anywhere close by and had no luck, they opened the door, got me in, and did my nails. I left there with a fresh set of nice nails for the wedding, and ran to Marion to get ready for the trip.

This is when I found out that instead of one kid, I was taking out 3 kids, one a large teen with a bum leg on crutches, and a man and a lot of bags and me. Well, okay then. I loaded them all up, and we headed to NY. Easy flight, no problems, I drop them all off, meet his fiance's dad, top off, and I head back to Indiana.  

I got back to Marion around 8 pm, home around 9, and had to get ready for Friday's trip, then bed...
