Meridian and Champ

I haven't had any trips the last two days, so I was doing local stuff. I tried on the black dress that came in, and it was hot material, kind of cheap, and too tight. So I am putting it back too, and am tired of looking, and disappointed, and weary of the whole damn thing. I tried to go to a couple local shops today, but there was nothing there. So tonight, tomorrow, I'll keep looking on line, I have to a couple of these back, I'll keep a couple just in case I use one of them in desperation, and send them back if I find something better. *sigh*

Yesterday I flew in the Champ with Cameron. We had 26 knot gusty winds, about 30 degrees off, sometimes 40, with a nice gust factor, so it was a good workout for him. He got it down pretty quickly and we flew for about 1.5 and had a good time.

Today it was time to pick up the Meridian. Steve, Morgan and I took the Aerostar over to Muncie, and I picked up the Meridian to fly it back to Marion. Things went a little faster this time since it hadn't been so long, and my takeoff and landing were pretty good. I am starting to feel better in there. :) I made this really nice landing at Marion in front of the Aerostar, but they couldn't see it because the runway has a slope on it. Oh well...they believed me when I said it was good, anyway. ;)

Tonight the three of us went down to Sheridan to eat pizza with a table full of pilots. Greek's Pizzaria has very good pizza, if I haven't said that before. ;) There were at least a dozen of us, and I have leftover pizza for tomorrow, too. Win/Win.

Well, I'm going to surf the internet for a dress some more. Seeeee ya.

Oh. Kaylee's next interview is 6/10 with two head people in the program, and she's looking forward to that.

And Dad, he was not in kidney FAILURE, he had kidney DAMAGE. Two different things there. He's now on oral medication that removes excess fluid, and got his wound vac removed, so that was progress. Surgery discharged him, so when the main docs discharge him, he'll be sent over to rehab for 21 days to regain some strength and independence. It's looking like he'll recover from this one. He still has kidney damage, but they're all working on him.
