It was a good day around here. The sun was out, the winds were Spring-in-Indiana-ing, and it was a little cool, but not too bad. The Poker Run was today. Quieter than years past, but it was nice to see the people there. Even some we haven’t seen for awhile. ;) Morgan, myself and the Flying Squirrel kids set everything up. Burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, popcorn. I got out there around 10:30, headed home around 3:30 for an old-person’s nap.
Tomorrow we go back out there for a Young Eagle’s rally, giving rides, there may be about 100 kids if they all show up. I’m a back up, not planning on flying unless the other volunteers get too far behind. We’re trying to let other people besides us do things more these days…
