When I got home, I came inside and realized I'd left my iPad in the car. I ate, changed clothes, then went right back out to the car to get it. I'm walking out and I see bugs on the door, and I ask Steve if he's seen them because there are quite a few of them. And then I turn around and they are ALL OVER the other side of the door. And covering the deck door. I'm like "Steeeeeeve". They're carpenter ants, which isn't great. So Steve came out and hosed them all down with killer spray stuff, and went outside to the outside of the house and found an entire wall of them covered all over. A swarm of them. Gross. So he's working on getting rid of them. We were attacked by a bunch of them one other time and he got rid of them so hopefully they go away again. The hazards of having wood siding on your house.
Um, health-wise. Joints are still doing pretty well, I'm about 10 pounds down from my heaviest out of the hospital, and I have been sleeping a lot better than I used to. An exception was last night, where my brain was just going a lot, but in general I have been sleeping much better than I used to. All in all, not doing too bad.
I'm currently working on my CFI renewal. Usually I get that done the beginning of May, so I'm a month behind, but it's not 'due' until July. It's just that July is a super busy month, so I try to get it done early. Now the FAA has changed the rules and you have a 3 month grace period after it expires to not have to do your whole checkride over again, which is nice, actually, but I'm still treating it like it's due in July or I'll procrastinate it. Which I will now bet $50 Steve does next year when his is due. ;)
And that's about it...
