I am watching Tom Brady going around the Indy track rapidly right now. Why is Tom Brady doing something fun in Indianapolis? He says "I can't believe this is the first time I've been here". I can, you tool, you hated everything about Indiana. :p
Now I'm watching two black hawk Army helicopters HOVERING right over the track full of cars and people well below the stands, and now circling the track way down low with the cars for a 250th birthday of something or other. I cannot believe the FAA allowed that! One of those things crashes into that track or crowd and we have a serious shit show on our hands! Wow.
In case you can't tell, the Indy 500 is on TV at the moment. Thing is, I don't really care, but it's on live for the first time in ages, and only one of a handful of times ever. They always black it out in Indiana because they want people from Indiana to buy tickets and go in person. So they won't show the race until after it's over with. But this year the race is completely sold out, so they're going ahead and showing it live on TV. So I have it on, even though I'm a fair weather not-even-fan. lol
Multiple crashes and the race hasn't hardly official started yet. Marco Andretti out before the first corner, another guy out before the green flag just driving himself around warming up his tires. Oof. Nobody hurt at least. But sheesh.
I slept in until 9 today, which was nice and needed. Steve is mowing our yard with a new to us electric lawnmower that he bought from Nathan. Nathan had it for a couple of years, didn't really use it, so Steve tried it out today. It is quieter, and cuts closer than our old mower. He thinks he likes it. We have such a small yard, an electric mower and battery works just fine.
Kaylee is into cleaning jewelry right now, so she cleaned up and polished up my wedding ring, our matching birth stone rings, Steve's money clip, wedding ring and Stants ring, etc. She's doing fine, and looking forward to hearing officially from Round Table with a job offer hopefully next week.
I haven't gotten groceries in about a month, so we were out of about everything. $200 later the house is restocked. I'm enjoying having today and tomorrow 'off'. To unpack, restock, hang up clothes, half-heartedly watch the race, look at photos from before, post this, maybe, maybe look some more at dresses for the wedding.
