Marco

Polo

It was a nice one! I did have to get up at 6:30, but that's more than an hour LATER than I'm going to be getting up tomorrow, so I shouldn't complain. I didn't sleep as well last night, but I still had a good amount of energy all day, and even after sitting over 6 hours in an airplane, I wasn't stiff, and normally I am. So that's all good.

I got the Cheyenne out at 8 am and flew it over to Frankfort, where Andy and his family were waiting. We loaded up and I flew us to Marco. Good weather, no EDCTs, no problems, decent winds, smooth air, all just how I like it!

I dropped them off, took the courtesy car and went to eat at Island Gypsy. There was a 30 minute wait and an outdoor party happening right there, so I walked over and listened to a live band do Jimmy Buffet style music, and stood and walked in the sun, by some water, and just relaxed. My pulse rate most of the day was in the low 60s. It was lovely. ;)

Normally down there I get the fresh caught grouper or Mahi Mahi sandwich, but today I was feeling like something even lighter, so I got a chicken mango salad, and man, that was delicious! It has "Grilled Chicken Breast/ Baby Greens/ Fresh Mango/ Hearts of Palm/ Candied Walnuts/ Radish Sprouts/ Keylime Honey Vinaigrette/ Curry Drizzle." The combination of all those flavors was seriously, really good. I may have to get it again, which is a shame considering I can't get fresh seafood in Indiana and I can get salads. But I can't get THAT salad...

If I could get someone to fix me fresh foods with interesting flavors all the time, I'd eat much better than I do.

When I left, I was by myself in the Cheyenne on a perfect weather day, and it was super relaxing. I got set up at 31,000', I was listening to Queen and the Eagles and other good things. I was reading a James Patterson book, and monitoring the plane, enjoying the view of the coastline of Florida all the way up, and it was one of the most relaxing flights I've had in awhile. I really do like flying by myself the most. It's...peaceful.

Tomorrow I have to get up at 5 am, and so does Steve, and he's driving me down to Indy to catch an airline flight to Denver, then Grand Junction, CO. I'll fly the Conquest home by myself after that. Then Pennsylvania on Monday. Onward.
