Gallipose

Do you know how to pronounce that? I listen to their AWOS that says it and I STIL can't pronounce it appropriately. It just does not stick in my head. Anyway, it's in Ohio, and it's where I went today.

5 am wake-up call, and this time I was sound asleep so I didn't like waking up. lol

I took Morgan with me. It was frigid and windy as hell, 30+ knot winds, which gave us a windchill of...very cold.  We flew over to Gallipose on top of the clouds. My fuel pump circuit breaker on the right engine popped when I went to the aux tank. That just means I don't have a constant pressure fuel pump while on the aux tank, so as long as I stay lower, it shouldn't be a problem.  I tried resetting the circuit breaker once, but when it immediately popped again, I left it alone. They pop for a reason, right?

Down there in OH, there is only a trailer for the FBO building, and in the trailer is one room with a giant table in it, and at the table sat 8 guys. Nowhere else to go. So Morgan and I sat at the table for a little while while they asked us questions, and then we took the courtesy car into town and spent 2 hours eating at a restaurant and driving around town trying to avoid sitting at the table for very long. We did have to spend another hour there. Awkward and tiring. I was glad she was there though so it wasn't just me with them. Lol  They're building a new terminal building but it won't be there until the end of next year, so until then we get the trailer.

When I got home, I knocked out a bunch of stuff I haven't been around to do. Took the trash out for the collectors tomorrow, both from the house and the bins behind the fence, caught up on laundry, compiled my old left-over bottle of hair product into the newer bottle (that thing where the pump won't let you reach the bottom inch or more of product that is down there for some stupid reason), ordered some house supplies I need, and then the Big Job of the day. I had to shave my sweater. See, I got this nice green sweater, and the first time I washed it I put it in with a floor mat, and that floor mat left tiny white balls all over my dark green sweater. It was really bad. It was too much to sit there and pick off one at a time, too. So we had to buy a sweater shaver thing, and it took me an HOUR to get that thing back to normal. I will not be washing it with anything that could possibly leave fuzzballs, towels, nothing like that, again. What a pain in the butt!  But finally my sweater is back.

Tomorrow I was supposed to go to Pennsylvania, but the weather is terrible. They're having a "Lake Effect Snow Winter Storm", are looking to get 6-12" of snow tonight through Friday morning, ice, winds over 35 knots, so blowing snow and slick roads and runway, travel hazards issued, etc. Their project is also outside, so I didn't even have to really tell them that I didn't want to fly them into the middle of it and deal with the little runway all blown over and iced over and stuff too, because they didn't want to try to do their project out in it anyway. So tomorrow I'll be around to do whatever Steve needs help with for our party this weekend.

Sunrise on the way to Ohio

Doesn't that sound fun?

A sunflower or black-eyed susan Christmas tree :)

Is that bad?

Here's one small section of my poor sweater

And that is all the fuzz and lint balls I took off the whole thing.

A little video of coming down through the murk
