Illinois

6 am alarm, and I was at Frankfort by 8 am, headed to Mount Carmel, IN. It was 1/4 mile and fog down there when I started driving to the airport, it was normal IFR when I took off, and it was severe clear by the time I got there 36 min later.  I dropped off Nick and flew back to Kokomo in Ethan's 340. Pulled the chutes out of the T-6 and checked the dates on them, getting them ready to be repacked for the season. Made it to lunch, dropped Steve back off at the airport, then ran home to gather the supplies I'd had delivered to the house.  I had to pick the time the night before, so I felt pretty accomplished that this was all working out.  Drove back out to the airport, hopped in the 340, flew it straight down to Centralia, IL to pick Nick back up.  Put him in the plane, flew us back to Frankfort, dropped him off. Drove my car back home, picked up Steve, and we drove to Greek's Pizzaria down in Sheridan for pilot night out down there, had pizza for dinner.  Drove home, called Kaylee back, and started planning my two trips to Florida tomorrow.  I have to be up at 5:30 am, get to Frankfort by 7:15, and fly Ethan and family down to Panama City, FL. Drop them off, top off with fuel, then fly down to West Palm Beach.  Top off, pick up Andy and his family, and fly them back to Frankfort.

Busy couple of days, man.

I woke up in the middle of the night with a sharp pain in my leg. In my calf.  The thought that crossed my mind that it felt like was "blood clot".  I felt it a couple times, as if it had moved. That made me nervous, so I got up in the middle of the night and took 250 mg of baby aspirin.  A little blood thinner action.  Likely stupid, but I couldn't go back to sleep without thinking about it, so I did what I could. I didn't feel anything else after that. Probably just getting up and walking around.  lol

My arm from the rehab is still sore. But I did my exercises for today.  I want that to get better.

Kaylee is having trouble motivating to finish her last few days, so we yelled at her (not really) and said YOU'RE ALMOST DONE, don't drop the ball now!  After Saturday she won't have any more homework via college ever again.  How's that for motivation, kid?!

I had decided I'd try to cut back on my sugar intake some, so I got sugar free creamer and sugar free mocha coffee that I drink first thing in the morning. But the sugar free variants still have a ton of sucralose in them, apparently, and they had that super sweet strychnine flavor, aggressively sweet with that aftertaste. I couldn't even finish the coffee, I dumped it out and got the regular version back. I doubt all that sucralose is any better for you than the sugar anyway, but the taste...gah.  The creamer I can handle, but it's not as good, so I got some more of the good stuff, too.  Forget it. I'll have to be sugar free without sugar substitutes on some things (like my unsweet tea) and just have real sugar on the rest. That other stuff tastes like rat poison or chemicals. Not that I know what rat poison tastes like, but that's what I'd guess it tastes like.  Ptooey.

Well, better take my melatonin and get to bed so I can get up before the buttcrack of dawn again.  *sigh*  Freakin' Florida.
