We had 35 knot winds around here today, about 30 down in IL where I was. So rough and bumpy.
I wasn't wheels up until 1:30 pm. We took off on time, with a nasty crosswind, and went to Carmi. The building was locked up except for one room, which had one chair and a bathroom. And wifi. Very slow wifi. They did have a car in the garage. The engine light was on and the seatbelt wouldn't click, making it ding at me the whole time, but it got me into town. All the cafe's were closed except one, so I went there, and they had chicken pot pie with taters, which I ordered, and was told they were out. They only had polish sausage or something else I don't like, so I got a tea and a piece of pie and then went back to the airport. We were supposed to leave by 4:30 pm. We did not leave until 6:30 pm. Got back to Frankfort too late for me to go to the CAF meeting, so Steve went on his own, and I ordered Taku on my phone and picked it up on the way home. Let Steve have the leftovers when he got back. End of day.
Tomorrow I have to get up at 4:30 am to be wheels up at 6 am for Birmingham. Gah.
