Training

The weekend was spent doing CAF training. So Saturday was Kokomo. The roads were slick, the gate was frozen shut, there was ice everywhere, but we got it done.  CRM training and PT-26 groundschool both.  Today I had Cameron fly me down to Terre Haute in the RG, and then we did BT-13, engine and prop, and C-45 training.  Finished that up, along with the quizzes, and submitted all the info to RallyPoint.  I now only have to do two checkrides, the BT-13 and the C-45, and I'm good to go for flying CAF airplanes for the year.  I've got two guys scheduled and ready to do their T-6 checkouts with me as soon as our plane is up, I've got a guy in Terre Haute wanting me to check him out in his T-6.  And I'm probably going to Oklahoma to pick up 10 hours of Stearman training for myself.  Sun-n-Fun in April, probably going with JP down to Florida to do rides in BOB.  Scheduling the Air Power History Tour dates.  Going to Texas in April for WASP tour.  That's just the start, but all warbird stuff only.

Tomorrow is a full day.  Drive to Frankfort, fly to Delphi and pick up 5 people. Fly to Kentucky and drop off one person.  Fly on down to Destin, FL and pick up another person.  Fly back to Kentucky and wait on one guy, fly him back to Delphi, go back to Frankfort, then drive home.  Not an early start, so it'll be a late night coming back...

This afternoon, Morgan flew down and picked me up in the RG. We talked all the way home, and it was a beautiful day, so afterwards we took the Champ up. I had her fly from the back seat, and she did well.  Then I did three takeoffs and landings too, since it had been October since I last flew it.  I did a three point, a one wheel landing, and then an engine out to a three point.  They went nicely, and it felt good, and the sun was big bright and not down until after 6:30 pm.  It was nice.

Nice way to end the evening.  :)
