When we landed, they went on to their meeting, and Morgan and I got a ride over to a Cafe nearby, and got some brunch. A meal, back to the airport, added gas, paid the bill, and it was time to head back. These guys' trips are usually pretty short. It makes for easy days when we do that, just have an hour flight, two hours on the ground max, and an hour flight home. I can handle that.
Got back to Frankfort, dropped them off, and then Ethan and Morgan took the 340 to Batavia, Ohio to drop it off at Cincinnati Avionics to get the rudder bias turned on, and Amber and I took the Conquest over to "chase" them and pick them up. Frankfort's fuel truck has been broken, so I filled up in Ohio, so we would have the right amount of fuel to take all of us in the Conquest out to Vegas tomorrow. We're going to stop in Pueblo, Colorado, stretch, pee, gas up, and go the last hour and a half from there. We'll be there late Monday evening, spend Tuesday there, then come home Wednesday late afternoon. Since we lose 3 hours and it's also a long flight home, we'll get back to Frankfort very late, then have an hour drive home from there. So it'll be a short trip, but it'll be in the 50s at least, so that's warmer than here, and I'll take it for a couple days. We will eat (too) well, and be warmer, and have a nice hotel room at the Bellagio facing the fountain for two nights, so...mini vacation.
I came into the hangar to find this oil mess on the floor. Oil levels were still good though, so I flew, and on 4 legs, never had that kind of mess again. I don't know.
This was in the women's bathroom stall at Sporty's in Ohio. Made me laugh. As I pulled out my phone.
Sun going down on the way back to Frankfort. Pretty frigid day again.
