I didn't think about it at the time, but combine the lack of sleep (4:45 am wake-up), no food, minimal hydration, long day, high altitude, and a weather system moving in, and you got the perfect storm for my head, which is what I woke up to Saturday morning. I took something around 4 am but when I woke up it wasn't totally gone. I should've hit it again then, but I figured it would go away. Steve and I went with Kaylee to her old apartment and they started loading up boxes to transfer some of her stuff over to her new apartment. I fell asleep on the couch while they did all that work, and woke up in time to help them load up the Jeep with boxes.
We got a full load in, and we went over to her new place for the first time. She wanted to meet up with the landlord by herself, you know, be the adult, so we sat downstairs in the coffee shop and had a cup, while she signed the contract, paid the first month, etc. And then we took the Jeep and double-parked it in the street with the hazards on and unloaded all the stuff into the lobby of her new apartment building as fast as we could. lol Steve re-parked the car, and we all hauled the boxes up to the 2nd floor apartment. It's an old downtown building, but it's a nice little apartment. The room has brand new carpeting, and there are like 5 windows in the small two rooms, so there's plenty of light. It looks out over the downtown area, and is right over the coffee shop, so it's good nice ambiance. The floors in the hallway are squeaky so nobody will be sneaking up on a door up there. :D The only downside is the bathroom is tiny and dingy. I mean, TINY and dingy. So we're going to try to make it a little brighter and more pleasant in there. Steve has some ideas. The kitchen is very yellow, also a little dingy, but we moved the fridge to a different spot and it opened up the space a lot, so that's looking better. It has a little four-burner gas stove, so we re-iterated how to use the gas stove and oven, how to light it. And the landlady told her if any of the 3 pilot lights were still lit, it was okay to light any of the others that blew out, but if they were all out, do not try to light them, call her. I'm glad she said that. Kaylee asked me why and I said if at least one is still lit, you're not going to blow up when you light another one, or it would've already blown up with the one lit. lol She needs a microwave, and some furniture, so we are taking some things from next door, and getting some inexpensive things like a dresser for her to use, but stuff we can carry up two flights of stairs and not die. Yesterday we were all 'off' a little, and after loading and unloading all the boxes we did, just the one load, we were all lying on the floor in her new apartment recuperating. We still have her bed, and table, and couch, and bigger stuff to get in there. We need some young fit dudes to come help.
When we finished with that, we came home, and I spent the rest of the day on the couch with a bad headache that I couldn't kick. I finally went to bed at 10 pm after taking my 3rd dose, and warned them that if I had to go to the ER, the only thing I'd taken was a total of 100 mg of suma and my normal magnesium. Normally a 25 mg dose taken early will do it. Four doses, three of them about an hour apart, hadn't. So I went to bed. Finally woke up this morning okay. Thank goodness.
Kaylee is still sleeping this morning, but I saw where she'd taken some more of her stuff from like her room, the kitchen, etc. to populate her new apartment with. I'm doing the laundry I'm behind on, and so far I've drank 32 oz of water and electrolytes and I'm still trying to rehydrate.
We like Kaylee's apartment. I think she's going to enjoy it. :)
Coffee Shop downstairs
Steve & Kaylee recuperating on her floor. Oh and it has a radiator!
